I was talking to an old man the other day, and the subject of pain came up.

He told me he had only felt real pain twice in his life. The first time he was out hunting in -20° F. weather. He woke up at night in his tent and had to take a . . . er . . . #2. He ran out in the snow, dropped his drawers, squatted down and his "boys" tripped a bear trap. He said that was real painful.

I asked him about the second time. He replied, "It was when I hit the end of the chain!".
